The Adrien Dubouché National Museum
In the heart of the city, the Adrien Dubouché National Museum holds one of the richest ceramics collections in the world. Room after room, you discover the fineness of Limoges porcelain and striking contemporary pieces. Going as a pair changes everything: each points to the piece they prefer, marvels, comments. A cultural date that launches conversation with no effort at all.
The Bénédictins station
Listed as a historic monument, the Bénédictins station is often ranked among the finest in France. Its belfry rises to 60 metres, and its great hall, adorned with stained glass and ceramics, impresses at first sight. People happily meet there before a walk through the city centre. In summer, the nearby terraces let the date stretch on, the passing trains punctuating the conversation.
Workshops and the porcelain quarter
Near the Porcelain Pavilion and the Casseaux Kiln, the last round kiln still standing in town, workshops welcome the curious. You can watch the white paste being turned, painted and gilded. Some manufactures even offer decoration classes to take as a couple. On Lyad, members from Limoges share their favourite workshops; it is up to you to find someone to shape clay with.
